Kua Number Calculator
How to use the Kua Calculator
Your kua number, also known as your destiny number, is calculated based on your birth year, starting from February 4. If you were born before this date, the kua number from the previous year applies. This is due to the Feng Shui system’s reliance on the solar calendar, which begins on February 4. Don’t worry about crunching the numbers yourself—the calculator does all the work for you. Just enter your birth date, and it will generate the correct number automatically.
Now, let’s set the record straight on a common misconception: Kua numbers are not gender-specific! An in-depth exploration of the Ming Gua tradition reveals that skilled practitioners can debunk this myth with ease. Think of it this way: zodiac signs are not determined by gender, so why would your destiny numbers be? The cosmic influences shaping our destiny are universal and apply equally to everyone, regardless of gender the time you were born.

What is the formula to calculate kya number for male and female?
Kindly respond.
The calculation relies on the Star 9 Ki system, and I’m unable to share the specific formula. Please use the Kua calculator to find your personal destiny number.

The kua number is showing me different number than on the other websites. My birth is 4. august 1985 and the kua number should be 9. It is showing me 6 here. Is it a different formula , or maybe it is not calculating properly.
Many websites rely on a gender-specific method to calculate destiny (kua) numbers, falling for one of the most widespread misconceptions online. This approach suggests that individuals born at the same time but of different genders would have different destiny numbers, which doesn’t hold up under scrutiny.
For example, if your Chinese zodiac sign is the Ox, it applies to both males and females equally. When we examine classical Chinese texts, it becomes clear that this gender-based distinction is a modern myth without historical foundation.
In reality, birth year determines the ming gua or kua number, which is the same for both genders. By using a single calculation method for everyone, we stay true to the authentic principles of classical Chinese metaphysics, ensuring accuracy and consistency. This approach not only simplifies the process but also aligns with the original teachings, dispelling the confusion created by modern misinterpretations.
Hola el número kua que me arrojado para mis hijos es el mismo y me causa duda pues ..uno nació 9/1999 y el otro 06/2008 , como puedo saber si es correcto o error de la calculadora de su sitio.
Gracias por responder .
Hello, yes, that’s correct. The Kua system operates on a repeating nine-year cycle, which means that every ninth year corresponds to the same Kua number. Since both 1999 and 2008 fall within this cycle and are assigned to Kua 1, both of your children are classified under the same Kua group.
I don’t understand. My birth year is 1954, female. According to one post I came across, my Kua number would be 8: 5+4=9, 9+5=14, 1+4=5 However, there is no 5 so it becomes 8. My kua number is 8. The calculation here says my Kua number is 2. The difference may be because this calculation included my birth month and day. Please help clear this up.
Actually, your Kua number is 1 if you were born in 1954 on or after February 4. If you were born before February 4, 1954, your Kua number is 2.
Unfortunately, many online Kua calculators produce incorrect results because they also apply the outdated distinction between male and female Kua numbers. In my article, under the section “Female vs. Male Kua Number,” I explain why separating Kua numbers by gender is inconsistent with the original classical principles.
It would be unthinkable to apply different zodiac signs based on gender. A person’s zodiac sign is fixed regardless of whether they are male or female. In the same way, the universal or cosmic energy DNA imprint established at birth should remain constant. Human interpretations should not distort or complicate these fundamental teachings or divert people from their original meaning. I hope this helps out.
