Our small family members being it a dog, a cat, or your kid’s hamster, all of them can have affects from the Feng Shui energy inside the home. You need to consider your home Feng Shui for cats or dogs as well, as, they are living tissue with active cells. As the body of pets, like us humans, are standing under the constant influence of the heliocentric or cosmic energy.

If you do Feng Shui for pets in your home, you might be aware that a balance energy flow is a goal to archive harmony for all family members. Generally, the main focus is on your spouse and kids, but mostly you do forget your animals in the whole planning and adjusting process. The energy that does affect us human beings will also create either harmony or disharmony on the pets, depending on which energy is current present.

Yes, Feng Shui will positively influence your pets if it is done correctly. As a Feng Shui Consultant, I also step out of the box and include the pets into the Feng Shui Audit as well. Today, I will show you how to do it and what you need to pay attention with easy Step by Step suggestions:

1. Balance the Energy for every single corner

Your home contains of eight energy palaces and a small energy center on the classical pie chart. On the condition that proper Feng Shui for dogs and Feng Shui for cats qi energy flows, it is not enough adjusting just the general areas of each palace. The concept of small tai chi practice would be more suitable to divide each one of the eight main palaces into yet another eight smaller sections to pinpoint the exact energy flow in these smaller areas.

2. Feng Shui Pets: Order of Birth does NOT Apply for Animals

From my own observation and being a dog owner of over 15 years, I can tell that for animals, the order of birth does not apply. Let me explain shortly what I mean with the “order of birth.” Above, on the Pie-Chart, you can see that each 45 degrees Palace is associated with a family member. The Mother-Figure of the household governs the South-West. In a like manner, your children’s order depends on their age and birth dates.

In other words, let’s say you have a 12-year-old son and a 15-year-old daughter. The daughter belongs to the South-East Palace as “Oldest Daughter,” and the son belongs to the North-East Palace as “Younger Son.”

For Feng Shui for pets, this order does not apply and it does not matter how old or young the pets are. From my own experience and observation, the age ranking has to be dismissed and only the home palace sections comes into focus.

3. South-East & West Palace affects Female Pets

The South-East Palace of your home is always associated with the eldest or firstborn daughter. Also, the area governs inner body organs such as the liver, gallbladder, and chest. Besides, the West Palace belongs to the younger or late-born daughter. Both palaces do influence all female animals. Even if you do not have a daughter, you still should adjust the energy in this palace in case you have a female pet living with you.

If you are not too familiar with Classical Feng Shui, let me explain a little bit further. We do have permanent energy, which starts upon your move-in date into the home. In addition to the permanent energy, the annual and monthly energy comes into play as well. Speaking in “general,” the Star #2, Star #5, and Star #7 create challenges in Flying Star Xuan Kong. There are over 81 different combinations that give you a positive, neutral, or negative energy outcome for the given year/month.

Let’s assume one of the harmful Star combinations does reside in the South-East or West Palace of your home, and you might think: Well, I do not have a daughter; therefore, I do not need to remedy this area. However, it will have an impact on your female pet, being it a cat, dog, or bird. Consequently, you need to take care of these areas too for the love of your animals.

Feng Shui for Pets: How to enhance and cure the energy?

There are two approaches to either cure or enhance the energy residing inside each palace. Please remember that I am classically trained in Classical Feng Shui, but also will not forget the “New Modern Age” approach:

  • Enhance or Remedy with Flying Stars: Here, it all depends on your permanent energy chart. There is no “one for all fit,” as many homes do have different energy charts. If you have your Flying Star chart in front of you, enhance or remedy according to the present “Water Dragon Energy” for living rooms, and dining rooms. For the bedroom, please use the “Mountain Dragon” Star to adjust the energy. Do you like us to calculate it, please order your personal classical Bagua Map here
  • ENHANCE with Modern Age Feng Shui: The South-East belongs to the Wood Element. Therefore, enhance in regards to the 5 Elements with Wood or Water. The West Palace belongs to the Metal Element, therefore support it with Metal or Earth.
  • REMEDY Modern Age Feng Shui: The South-East belongs to the Wood Element. Therefore, remedy in regards to the 5 Element Theory with Fire. The West Palace belongs to the Metal Element, therefore remedy it with Water.

East, North, and North-East affects Male Pets

All three Palaces of North, North-East, and East are governed by the son (young, middle, oldest). Even though I have mentioned earlier that the age ranking does not apply for animals, you should focus firstly on the East Palace if you have only one male pet. In some cases, it might be helpful taking a quick look into the other two palaces as well. It is always imperative to keep all the energy flows inside the home under full control.

For example, if you have a Flying Star Combination of Star 7-9 in either of the three areas (East, North, North-East), it could implement that your pets are cranky or in a lousy mood fighting with each other. For the most part, the Stars 7-9 usually reflects energy for arguments or fighting. It is essential to realize that both humans and animals do absorb these energy patterns.

The example above illustrates very well how crucial it is to adjust all the energy flow patterns in each and every palace of your home. It is challenging to provide any universal remedy suggestions here as every home has a different energy blueprint.

Feng Shui for Dogs and Cats attract Different Energies

I made some exciting discoveries over the years, watching our dog and a friend’s cat. In particular, cats, for some reason, tend to be more attracted to specific negative Star energies such as the Star 5-2, Star 2-5, or Star 7-9 combinations. So far, I have not concluded why this is.

In short, check your home energy chart and try to train the cat to stay or sleep in different, more positive energy areas. As a suggestion, you can block these corners with plants or other household items. Given these points and the cat’s overall well-being will improve.

On the other hand, speaking of Feng Shui for dogs, they are not, like cats, attracted to these negative energy areas at all. As an illustration, for our living room, I do have a tai chi micro-energy chart to accurately know which energy resides in which corner of the room. In two areas of the living room with open space, not so favorable energy (Star 5-2) exists there.

To demonstrate, I tried to lure my dog with some very delicious treats into these inauspicious areas and worked very hard for her to stay and take a nap. In no time, after eating her treat at rapid speed, she walked away again to her old space to sleep and play.

She entirely avoids these inauspicious areas and makes a big circle around. Until now, monitoring over many years, our female dog never stays in negative energy zones for a long time. At any rate, she is always around the more auspicious energy areas inside our house. I am very sure that she can sense the harmful electromagnetic energy fields in no time.

To summarize, keep an eye on your pet’s behavior as it might provide some clues of auspicious or inauspicious areas inside your home.

Feng Shui for pets: Common Problems associated with unbalanced Energy

feng-shui-dog-unhappy

If the Feng Shui for cats and dogs energy is unbalanced, the following negative character traits could show. In case your animal is sick or is quite aggressive, it might be worth looking into Classical Feng Shui, too. Yes, the sickness can have many other causes, such as harmful EMF radiation from WiFi or cell phones. Surely, please keep Feng Shui in the back of your mind:

  • Cancer suddenly develops
  • Joint problems
  • Sudden aggressive behavior
  • Ear problems
  • Feeling stressed or fearful

Remember the following when doing Feng Shui for pets:

  • Your permanent home energy will also affect your pets
  • The annual Flying Star energy also impacts your little family members
  • Keep your pets always in positive Palaces in your home
  • If negative energy exists apply remedies and cures
  • Survey the behavior of your pet and cross-check the energy chart of your home (permanent & annual)
  • Remember that each Palace is associated with different body parts that can cause problems
  • Give your animals high quality food. Many foods do have low grade ingredients (byproducts of chicken etc.) which I consider junk-food.
  • It is worth to take a look at the ingredients list on the backside of the pet food. The ingredients listed at fist are the ones with the highest quantity. For this purpose, check if potatoes, chicken, beef, or other high-quality ingredients are listed right in the beginning. It will give you a clue about the overall quality of the pet food.

FINAL WORD

I hope you have enjoyed my little side-stepping into the animal world. In reality, not many Feng Shui literature exist about pets and the impact of Feng Shui energy on them. As our little family members are a big part of our lives, bringing joy and happiness, please take good care of them.

Hi there, I read your article re Fengshui and pets. In thus case, The Annual Flying Stars afflictions will also affect our pets? What if remedies or cures have been implemented in the Five Yellow sector (East) in 2020 but we cannot avoid using it as it’s the location of our study? Does using this area with remedy/cure implemented affect our male pet? Thank you

Hi, thanks for taking the time to comment on the post. Yes, this is correct, both the permanent energy AND Annual Flying Stars energy will affect pets as well. In a typical case, if you have remedied the East sector for the Five Yellow Star, you and your male pet should be ok. However, it all depends on what kind of permanent energy also resides in your East sector. Let’s take me, for example. I have part of my office in the East sector with permanent and annual energy of Star Yellow Five. I had to move all essential things out of the sector as the energy is too strong to remedy. I noticed a lot of hick-ups. Coming back to your case, if your permanent energy is ok and you have good remedies here, you and your male pet should be ok for the year.
